New students at the School of Foreign Languages were welcomed to the School and the University on September 23 at the School of Foreign Languages. 

The students were introduced to their classes and the education system at SoFL through a series of presentations by their teachers on September 23. The orientation continued on with another event on September 24 at Akif Kansu Meeting Hall where department deans offered words of advice and encouragement to students regarding the importance of learning a second language. Also, various speakers from University Clubs and Offices gave information on a wide range of opportunities and facilities at the University. 

Other orientation events included the 2nd "Traditional Pilaf Day" introduced by our current Rector, organized by the Rectorate, where students and SoFL staff attended a complimentary buffet, serving rice and ayran, a traditional lunch menu for mingling activities.
